We want to help students with disabilities 14 to 21 plan for their future, and prepare for careers that focus on their interests and abilities. We will assist student in making the transition from secondary to post-secondary education/training and empower them to realize their full potential. To help students meet their future career goals we provide services in the following areas:
Roads To Independence Pre-ETS program is transitional services for students with disabilities ages 14 to 21 to help students move on from High School/Post High School to either work or post-secondary education. This program is offered through the workforce innovation & opportunity act (WIOA) and the Utah State Office of Rehabilitation (DWS-USOR) for students who are either eligible or potentially eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation services.
To be eligible for the program:
We provide classes to teach the students skills such as: how to request accommodations, their rights as an individual with a disability, conflict resolution, communication and interpersonal skills.
We provide classes to teach students to succeed in the workplace. Students will learn soft skills including team work, problem solving and dependability. They will also learn how to look for a job, create a resume, and interviewing, while developing skills for independent living.
We will offer one on one support for students who are interested in continuing education, such as, campus tours, assist with enrollment, helping with funding resources, requesting accommodations and disability support services.
We will offer one on one supports for students who are interested in work based learning experiences in individual students’ areas of interest. We will help connect them to potential employers with opportunities to job shadow, internships and summer work.

Roads To Independence is a non-profit organization committed to serving individuals with disabilities in Weber, Morgan and Davis Counties. Services provided include, advocacy training, independent living services, assistive technology loan bank, life skills training and recreation.
